WHAT DOES WAMCO'S CERTIFIED ORGANIC MEAN?
Certified Organic means that we do not use any chemical herbicides, fertilizers, or pesticides on our crop land or throughout processing. In our alfalfa pellets you will find only 100% alfalfa forage – no additives, chemicals, or artificial binders. We have roughly 24,000 acres, all of which are either already Certified Organic or are in the transition process.We have been producing and processing Certified Organic alfalfa since 2002, oilseeds since 2006, grains since 2007 and pulses since 2009. We are Certified Organic through Pro-Cert Canada (registration #136 and PC 726) under the Canadian Organic Standards (CAN/CGSB 32.310 and .311) which is compliant with the USDA National Organic Program (NOP), EEC Regulation 2092/91, the Quebec Organic Reference Standard (CARTV) and the Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS) through the NOP.
